What your reps would get tomorrow morning

Follow one account, Driftwood Grill, from the morning email to a priced quote. The distributor behind it, Meridian Foodservice Supply, does not exist: its customers, products and invoices are generated. Every screen is the running product reading that book.

The 6am call sheet

Your reps’ day, in their inbox before the first call

Reps plan their week on the calendar, and each morning the day arrives by email, with nothing to log into. For every account: what it has spent, when it last ordered, what accounts like it buy that it doesn’t, and what it stopped buying. Today’s promotion sits on top, and a workbook and a printable sheet come attached for each call.

A rep’s morning email: today’s promotion, then three accounts from the calendar, each with what it spent over two years, the month it last ordered, and short lines on what similar accounts buy that it does not and what it stopped buying.

Nothing booked

An empty day still says who to call

Once a rep has booked anything, a day with nothing on the calendar still brings the email: their own accounts that have gone quiet, biggest first, from the salesperson on each account in Odoo. Reps who never book still get a short daily list of their quiet accounts.

The morning email on a day with nothing booked: the rep’s own accounts that have stopped ordering, two of them in full, and a list of all of them with what each spent and when it last ordered.

Peer-group gaps

What restaurants like Driftwood Grill buy, and it doesn’t

Every account is compared with others of the same trade, here over the same 24 months as the email: what the group carries and this one does not, ranked by how many of them buy it and what they spend. Each line is a reason to bring it up.

A “Should buy” table for one restaurant: products that peer accounts carry and it does not, each with how many of the peers buy it and what they spent over the period.

Lapsed reorders

$12,453 Driftwood Grill quietly stopped buying

Five lines it used to reorder and has not for a year or more: a wok, ramekins by the case, a chef knife. Odoo’s top-sellers report cannot show them, because an item that stopped selling never appears in it.

A “Lapsed” table of items the restaurant stopped reordering — a wok, a case of ramekins, a turner, a chef knife — with the month each was last bought, how long ago, and what it was worth, and a total.

Saved reports

Grouped by things Odoo has never heard of

Trade, brand, region, house-versus-resold. Trades start from your Odoo product categories and decide which accounts count as peers, so map them to the kinds of customer you sell to. Every report follows, returns get their own column, and everything exports to Excel.

A revenue-by-trade report: six trades with revenue, share, units, the value of returns and SKU count, and a totals row.

Sales calendar

Book the visit, and tomorrow’s email follows

Reps book visits, calls, repeating calls and prospects, and promotions show across the days they run. Managers can open any rep’s week and see who is actually being called on. It is Readout’s own calendar, not synced with Outlook or Google.

A rep’s week on the sales calendar, Monday to Friday: a promotion across the week, two or three accounts booked each day, a repeating call and a prospect marked as a lead.

$250/month for the workspace and up to 10 people, not per rep, and you can cancel anytime. Connect Odoo 18, 19 and 20 with its URL, database and an API key; there is nothing to install, and on Odoo Online it takes Odoo’s Custom plan. Readout reads your Odoo, and writes to it only when someone files a draft quotation or a customer note. How that works → A large Odoo syncs in a few hours. We answer within one business day.
