Odoo consulting
This page is for a business already running Odoo that has hit something Odoo will not do. That is the work we take: custom modules, portals, warehouse flows and integrations, built by US-based engineers, quoted in days, at the rate printed below rather than after a call. Readout itself came out of this work, for one distributor who needed answers Odoo would not give.
Flat, and not negotiable. That is the whole point of publishing it: you can decide whether this is worth a conversation without having one.
What we build with those days
None of this is a capability list. It is work already running inside a live Odoo that a real business depends on:
- Custom modules — the screens and logic your process needs and Odoo does not have, built as a proper addon rather than bolted onto core.
- Portals — customer and vendor-facing surfaces on top of your Odoo data, so people outside the business can self-serve without an Odoo licence.
- Warehouse and mobile flows — picking, batching, labels and scanning on a handheld, shaped around how your team actually moves stock.
- Integrations — shipping platforms, marketplaces and EDI, wired so the data lands in Odoo rather than in a spreadsheet somebody re-keys.
- Reporting beyond the product — if you need a report Readout does not ship, we build it. If it turns out every distributor needs it, it becomes part of the product.
The product is the portfolio
Built and proven against an 8-figure distributor’s live Odoo. 4.6 million invoice lines, synced and reported on nightly. Every part of Readout — the connector, the warehouse, the reporting, the purchasing engine — was written against that Odoo, in production, while someone’s buying decisions depended on the numbers being right.
So there is no case study to ask for. Read how the connection is built and what it does, and judge the work directly.
Who writes your code
The engineers are in Southern California, and the one who scopes your work is the one who builds it. Three things follow from that:
- You talk to the person building it. No account manager relaying requirements to somebody you never meet, and nothing lost in the relay.
- Your working day is our working day. A question at 10am gets an answer at 10am, and a decision that is waiting on one does not wait until tomorrow.
- One legal system. A US entity, a US contract, and a US venue if anything ever needs one.
How an engagement starts
- Write to us at sales@salesreadout.com with what you are trying to do. We answer within one business day.
- Book the first call — $500 for 60 minutes with the engineer who would do the work. You leave it knowing whether the thing is worth building and roughly how many days it is, whether or not you hire us.
- We quote in days. Not hours, and not a fixed bid against a spec nobody has written yet. You approve a number of days, we book them, and you see the work as it lands rather than at the end.
The $500 is not a toll on asking a question — it is credited against the work, so hiring us makes it free. It exists because a call nobody pays for is a call nobody prepares for, and both sides lose the hour.
What this is not
We are a small team, and the honest version of that is worth more than a page that claims otherwise:
- Not an Odoo hosting or licence reseller. You buy Odoo from Odoo. We work on the instance you have.
- Not a staffing arrangement. We take defined work with an end, not a seat on your team indefinitely.
- Not a full ERP implementation practice. If you are migrating onto Odoo from nothing, you want a partner who does that all day. We are who you call when you are already on Odoo and it will not do the thing.
- Not available on a retainer we cannot honour. If we are booked, we will say so and tell you when we are not.
Or start with the software
A good deal of what people ask us for turns out to be reporting and purchasing, which Readout already does for a fraction of a day’s consulting. If that is your question, start there: it is running in an hour, and inside a week you will know whether you still need anything built.
And if you already know it needs building, write to sales@salesreadout.com and we will book the hour.
